Our full design service takes a project from concept to completion, typically broken down into 4 key stages: Preparing the Brief, Concept & Detailed Design, Technical Design, Build/Purchasing and Installation. Our process is guided by the RIBA Plan of Work providing a clear and logical path to align with other professionals and ensure every stage runs smoothly.
Regardless of project size, we always start with an initial meeting where we’ll listen carefully to your needs, walk through your priorities and share examples of our work. It’s the beginning of the creative journey — and the foundation for everything that follows.
Our approachable team will guide you through each step of the process with professionalism and care to turn design into deliverables and vision into reality.
Flexible Consultancy
In addition, we offer a flexible consultancy approach for those managing their own projects or just want some inspiration and advice on key decisions. For this we charge by time. Examples include:
◆ Advice on paint colours, fabrics, soft furnishings and finishes
◆ Individual, bespoke room schemes
◆ Elevating decorative details e.g. artwork placement
◆ Reviewing architectural drawings, layouts and floorplans
◆ Lighting design and sourcing support
◆ Recommendations on suppliers and products, with an option for us to purchase from trade-only sources on your behalf
◆ Budget guidance, including where to invest and where to save
◆ Accompanied visits to showrooms (Chelsea Design Centre, Chelsea Design Quarter and Pimlico Road) for inspiration
Colour Consultations
As co-founder of Paint & Paper Library, Sophie’s mastery of colour is indisputable, something she has shared with the design team at Studio Bellew. Our fixed fee colour consultancies, where we guide you through choosing the best colours and suggested surface finishes for your home, gives you the chance to share in our passion and expertise. At the end we provide you with a detailed schedule for your decorator. We work with a range of sustainable designer paint brands.
